Sadly and with great regret, I’ve had to cancel an appearance at Penguicon in April, due to its proximity to some other shows I’m down for. I’ve heard great things about this show, and have wanted to check it out for a while now. Still, on the plus side, Steve Jackson provides a MUCH niftier Gaming Guest of Honor. And by way of apology, I’m sending a free Dork Tower comic book to all who attend, so my name’s not taken in vain TOO badly.
As far as other shows go this year, with the adoption process still up in the air, Damocles-like, I’m staying close to home for the most part. I’ll have an adoption update post at some point, when I feel up to it. Long story short: no news. It’s so much fun having your emotions churned like so much rancid butter by a bureaucracy. So let’s not talk about that now, please.
Here’s my list of cons this year. As noted, most are close to home. I decided it’s best to keep it short this year. There may be some additions, but I doubt it. I miss the shows, and I miss meeting and talking with readers, but my mood’s for some home time, this year. Family, friends and getting lost in work helps me forget about other things. Things I don’t feel like talking about right now.
