The Great Luke Ski is releasing his latest CD at GenCon: “unCONVENTIONal.”

Some yutz did the cover art for him.

Luke wanted me to rap with him on one track (it’ll be very easy to tell which one, once you get the CD). Events, and my massive work schedule, conspired against my doing so.

Which, I believe, proves the existence of God.

Seek Luke out at GenCon for your copy!

Chris, Melissa and I got a really super review for Dr. Blink #2 from Tony Isabella, in Tony’s Online Tips.

If you’re not already reading DR. BLINK: SUPERHERO SHRINK by John Kovalic and Christopher Jones, you should be. In this second issue [Dork Storm; $3.49], they focus on the life of a former “boy wonder”…from the start of his career to his scandal-ridden post-hero years to a less-than-stellar appearance at a thinly-disguised Comic-Con International to his current dead-end job and, finally, to a pair of fateful decisions. The humor may be bittersweet, but it’s there…especially in a sub-plot involving Blink’s feelings of jealousy over another psychiatrist’s rise to fame. This story has a lot going for it.

He also tips his hat to our new back-up feature, Alex Robinson’s wonderful Ultra-Gal!

And…woo-hoo! We got a score of four out of five coveted Tonies!

Not that I’m at GenCon, but I’m sure this’ll be a heavy-buzz item there:

WizKids Announces Battlestar Galactica CCG

August 18, 2005 (SEATTLE) WizKids Inc., creator of the runaway hit games HeroClix and Pirates of the Spanish Main, announced today its agreement with Universal Studios Consumer Products Group to develop a collectable card game (CCG) based on the new SCI FI Channel Battlestar Galactica series.

“We couldn’t be happier to add our tradition of innovative gaming to one of the hottest science fiction properties available, said Mike Samora, vice president of Sales and Marketing at WizKids. The success of the television show has introduced a new generation to the Battlestar Galactica story, and a game is the natural expansion of that introduction. The game, slated for release in early 2006, features characters, ships and familiar scenes from the miniseries and television show on the SCI FI Channel.

Game play will mirror the intrigue of the television show: Players wont know whom to trust, who the Cylon agents are or where the next attack will come from! Players will battle for ownership of resources and influence in order to control the fleet.

The Battlestar Galactica CCG will be supported by the WizKids Approved Play program.
