One Last Mallards Game!

There’s one last Mallards game.

In Madison, that is.

As the Mallards web site puts it:

Mallards Set For One Night Stand

Your Madison Mallards will return to the Duck Pond for their final home game of the 2005 season Friday, August 19th at 7:05 vs. the Thunder Bay Border Cats for the first game of the 2005 NWL Championship Series! The Border Cats defeated the St. Cloud River Bats on Thursday night to win the NWL South Divison title. Games two & three of the series will be in Thunder Bay on Saturday & Sunday (if necessary). The Mallards will be looking to win their second consecutive NWL Championship.

Great seats are available for the game throughout the entire stadium including seats on the Great Dane Duck Blind, Reserved seats, & Bleacher Reserved Seats. Buy your tickets early online at Mallardsbaseball.com, at the Mallards ticket office at Warner Park, or by calling 608-246-4277. We encourage all of our fans to buy your tickets ahead of time as we anticipate long lines at the Ticket office from 5 pm until game time.

We look forward to seeing you one last Friday Night at the “Duck Pond” & we promise a one night stand our fans won’t soon forget!

The sad thing is, I found myself listening online tonight to the St. Cloud/Thunder Bay game, to see who the Mallards would face (the St. Cloud Rivers Bats do NOT have a bad announcing team).

I need help.

No. I need MALLARDS BASEBALL!

7:05 p.m. Friday. Be there!

Go Mallards!

John

PS. Nice comics- and gaming-related news for tomorrow. For now, though, as I believe I may have already noted…GO MALLARDS!
