Cats, Compilations and Comicbooks

Today’s cartoon’s garnered some really nice feedback, so I’m in kinda a good mood. I thought this one would go over well, but sometimes you’re just not sure…

By the way, Pookie’s leap in panel two isn’t the first time I’ve drawn a cat like this.

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, I did a small piece of art for the Cat Dancer ™ folks. I believe they’re still using it, and even have it on a T-shirt…only $13!

This was about 13 years ago, I guess.

I’m just glad I can draw better mice now…

My Winter 03/04 compilation CD is finally done!

I may tweak it here and there, but overall, I like the way it flows. I also like the mix – perhaps the most eclectic mix I’ve ever had that actually works! It came together VERY quickly, which was nice. This is only like the third or fourth revision of it.

Wow, I love not having to put these things on tape anymore! All hail iTunes! All hail iTunes! Ia! Ia! Fhtang!

Anyone have any experience selling comics in London? Or even over the ‘net, in Britain?

My sister would like my old comics collection out of her apartment. I’ve brought back what I wanted from it to the States.

Now I’ve about three long boxes left. Some good stuff, most just OK.

D’ya think it would be better to find someone in London or close by who’d be willing to put them on e-bay, for a commission? Or just drag them to a comic store and get half of what they’re really worth? Anyone gotta good contact at a London comics store?

On the topic of Europe…

I made this for the dorktower.com web site.

If anybody else would like to post it, feel free to grab it, and it’s yours!

After the 9/11 attacks, people from all over the world contacted me, to make sure my family and friends were alright. Now it’s time to think about Spain.

My Spanish publisher is based in Madrid, and my parents live in Malaga. It’s a magnificent, deeply romantic, incredibly wonderful country.

I need to get back there soon.

John
