Here are some of my hideously successful, wildly overachieving friends. They’re all great people, and it’s been my pleasure to have gotten to know them all.

Steve Marmel
You may have seen Steve on Comedy Central, or seen his name on Cow and Chicken or Johnny Bravo. You’re a fool if you don’t catch his live act: it absolutely ROCKS. He’s also the only guy I know who’s got a drink named after him (below – from the Laugh Lines comedy club in Madison).
Scott Bateman
Tired of the same old editorial cartoons? (Well, apart from mine, of course) Check out Scott’s groundbreaking work. I’m just sick with envy. My only consolation is I can draw hands better than he can. Still, his taste in music is wicked fly.
Mark Giaimo
Mark’s a kick-ass editorial cartoonist, one of my best friends from waaaay back (we were on the UW Madison’s Daily Cardinaltogether in the mid-80s) and is front-man for the band SUPER MODEL (under the pseudonym Mark Block. What a stud).
Steve Sack
He’s the mentor I never had. Or was that the older brother I never had? No: he’s the beagle I never had! No…not quite right…he’s the older beagle mentor I never had!(I think we’ve reached “too much info” point here…)
Out Of The Box
Since none of the fine folks from OtB have personal web sites, you’ll just have to hit their company site and find out about the phenomenal games they make.Of course, being a part-owner of the company may make me a bit biased. But all the games are award-winners, and Apples to Apples was Games Magazine’s Party Game of the Year!
Aaron Williams
Aaron Williams may be the nicest working guy in comics. If you haven’t seen his work in Dragon magazine, check it out now! And don’t miss his CANADA FOX strip!
C.G. Muggridge
C.G. Muggridge’s SPAZ LABS is my favorite Web strip. And C.G.’s also started a great new feature called NEXT OF KIN. I want him to remember me when he’s rich.
James Ernest
My pal James Ernest produces some of the coolest games on the planet (if you haven’t played “Kill Dr. Lucky” yet…for SHAME). In fact, the whole crew over at Cheapass Games is pretty boss…(hi,Toivo!)
